SAVE THE EAGLES, KILL THE UNBORN:

Image: Dead eagles found near Granite Falls, Wash. (© WDF&W via NBCNews.com)"In the United States, the bald eagle and the golden eagle are protected under multiple federal laws, according to the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. Per the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act, felony convictions can lead to a maximum fine of $250,000 or two years in prison. Civil penalties are also subject to thousands in fines and imprisonment. Bald eagles are also protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act and the Lacey Act. The bald eagle was removed from the Endangered Species federal list in 2007."  (Source)

Irony of ironies:  The Bald Eagle is no longer on the federal Endangered Species list, is protected by multiple federal laws, and killing one leads to hefty criminal and civil fines.

YET...

Unborn children are the most endangered species, they have never been on such a list, they're not protected like birds are, and killing them is not criminalized, but celebrated as a right.

America is dangerously sick.

But the readers' comments at the end of the Bald Eagle article remark, "Disgusting", and "I hope the perps get maximum penalty", and "This is just sick!"

  1. Mike-My husband John and I have frequently commented on how we are glad that we have laws to protect the wildlife in this world that God's created, but how out of kilter it is that we neither acknowledge, respect, or protect the lives of unborn humans. Before your time there was this Christian rocker that I used to listen to named Randy Stonehill who had a line in one of his songs that goes: "it's OK to murder babies, but we really ought to save the whales". Sometimes those lyrics come back to me...
